The article itself also calls him a Producer in the Freespace Series, but what's listed in FS2's credits is only Mission Design

I thought making was producing in some regards.
This is very pleasing news though.

It would be great if he could turn things around there. I think good ole :V: is in a lot of trouble right now; Agents of Mayhem was a big flop, and I think they need a completely fresh start to get away from Saint's Row and open world games completely.

Yeah, he was the producer(?) or atleast Mission Designer of Silent Threat also :D So a bright future awaits us. :shaking:
Actually Agents of Mayhem was too much of another Saints Row 4 addon in my opinion. Did not had enough of unique features to be a whole new IP.
And i have to say, that i liked the first three Saints Row titles more than 4 and GAT. The first three titles were still serious games with much humorous elements, good enough for a different experience to GTA. With SR4 they get rid of all the serious elements and this series become a big joke.

:v-old: needs to make FS3 now. Don't we have a FS3 beam or emoje?

And i still hope they do not do that :)
If they do want to make a new space game. I would prefer a new IP then. Not only because to get rid of all the Ties of the Past.

I'm curious if they have the right to the IP since Freespace is often listed as an "interplay title" on GOG.com when on sale.
I'd be content with a new spacesim IP really, we need more single player spacesims that aren't sandboxes.

They don't. They really, really don't -- In fact, I'm not entirely sure who does at the moment. There was an auction a while back where the remnants of Interplay's IP was sold off, and as far as I am aware, no results of that were ever published.
