OT - How many people here can tell me how to acquire hardcover Dune novels?
I figure since so many of us here are sci-fi fans, surely some of you might be Dune fans. I just purchased a copy of the new hardcover "Dune - The Butlerian Jihad" and this story looks good. I also managed to find a hardcover of the original Dune (the 1998 edition from Ace books) and of the prequel novel "House Corrinno" from Amazon.com; now all I have to do is find the rest of the hardcover Dune novels (namely "Dune Messiah" through "Chapterhouse Dune" and "House Atreides" and "House Harkonnen").

Problem is, Amazon.com doesn't have the hardcovers, not even the recent hardcovers of "House Atreides" and "House Harkonnen." Can anyone help me out?

*EDITED*

Bless you, BL. What were your search parameters? I kept trying to find House Atreides and House harkonnen in hardcover for two hours last night. How'd you find them?

*SMACK!*

BTW, that wasn't me hitting BL, that was me slapping my own forehead. The slapping sound even drowned out the roar of my "d'oh!"...

As for the classic Dune hardcovers, well, they're not available from Amazon.com for purchase yet, but at least they're on my wish list...

Yeah, like I'll ever hear anything about them again. :doubt:

I guess I'll just have to tromp through the canyons of New York City to find a decent bookstore. Now if I can only escape from this law school here in White Plains...:nervous:

Um, what, BL?

There are 30 different books in here and not all of them are hardcover or even pertain to Dune.

Okay slightly OT but here goes...

If anybody wants Hard Cover SF&F books in a special members only format, join The Science Fiction Book Club

The Members only size is basically approx. 6"x8" instead of Publisher standard 7.5"x10.5".

Also most everything is at least 10% off what you would pay in a Bookstore, with many items up to 65% off.
So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

There are only 10 types of people in the world , those that understand binary and those that don't.

So what are you saying, Liberator? That the members-only hardcover books they give you are smaller than the ones you would buy in the store? How does that work?
