Something I noticed about FS music...
I just recently found out that the music played in the end cinematics where Petrach is talking in FS2 (after the supernova), is actually a renendition of the FS1 flight deck music.

Just a useless fact I felt like bringing up.

Yup :D

Wentz has hidden all sorts of little tidbits from FreeSpace 1 into the music.

Which ending cutscene is it? The on where you make it, or the one where you don't?

There's no difference in the music. It's the same for both.

Something I noticed about FS music...
I play it while doing my math stuff, but I guess that's not really homework. :D

And yeah, I also think that the FS games have the best music tracks of any game out there. (heck, they have the best music out there period :D)

My current playlist includes:

Battle music from:
FS1:
Clash of the Titans (using the higher-quality WAVs from FS2)
Playing Judas
(the capture of McCarthy mission)
The Great Hunt

FS2:
Mystery of the Trinity
The Sixth Wonder
Their Finest Hour

"Idle" music from:
FS1:
Clash of the Titans
Playing Judas

Other music:

FS:
the files called "cinema" and "Brief2"
the main hall music

FS2: the file called "FS2_Cinema2"

Overall, the FS1 music has a much more suitable (suited to space combat) feel to it, but the quality of the audio overall in FS2 is much better. In fact, it's just like most overall comparisons between the two games: FS1 has a better feel, but FS2 looks/sounds/plays better.

I listen to the music while FREDding. It really helps me get into the mood.

I will have a cool new Psamtik main hall music track when I release the Vasudan campaign. It fits in very nicely, and is on a par with the original FS2 music.

I didn't think abyone else listeneed to the fs2 music while doing homework. I listen to brief 4, Ancients, and a mix of fs1 and fs2 music.

m5_earv2.wav: when I close my eyes and listen to that, it's like the SD Lucifers Theme, it's got that, forebidding, haunted theme to it.

I listen to the FS1 sound track, I find it's alot better than FS2, although the cutscene music(last one especially :D) are the best music clips I've heard.

And yes I do listen to it while I do my homework aswell, I'm listening to M5_bttl2.wav right now!

Here's my favorites -

FS1 Favorites:

March (Normal & Battle Themes)
Spook (Normal & Battle Themes)
Monolith (Normal Theme)
Chaser (Battle Theme)

FS2 Favorites:

Leviticus
Exodus
Joshua
Ancients
Revelation

In fact I think that's all of them of FS2 except one.

Just wish they had an official mp3 hq release of Leviticus and Exodus. :(
