A bit of advice on a banner concept

My SW RPG group is about to finally choose an actual name,...at the moment "Shadow Acadmey" is the most popular,...but it will be something along a Sith theme. I've toyed around with a couple banner concepts and wanted some opinions from you guys.


Idea 1: Maul




Idea 2: Vader




The site is black background, also these versions are a bit higher rez than what would be actually used,...just easier of course to work in higher rez then go lower than the other way around.

Vader every time. Not some pissant that manages to get himself chopped in half in the space of one movie. ;) Besides, it doesn't hurt my eyes to look at the Vader version.

Yea I'm leaning towards Vader myself,.... and Mik. ... you'll love the image below .....that's my GF's father :D

If you get SW Insider,...hmmm think it's 3 issues ago...the cover has Yoda on it and it's got an artical on Celebration 3,...the Vader on the opening page of the artical is him too :D

heh actually she loves it :) She was at Celebration 2 also and loves making costumes for it. Hell,.. her dad's an ex electronics and computer tech,...currently working on making a live size and working R2 (planning on ripping the chips from the new R2-D2 interactive toy)

But personally ...hell I think the idea of "Oh you  think that's cool....my father in law is Vader ....beat that!" is pretty wild :D Add to it that fact the man made the entire costume himself :)

Dude ... the fanclub I was in has a TON .... a few are also in the 501st,.. worldwide Stormtrooper costumers,... and ... freaky.

What's worse...they think they're something because they blow $1000 on the outfit :D LOL

Me...I'll settle for making a decent looking lightsaber prop that lights up and looks somewhat close to the films. Costume...maybe for Halloween :D
