It's got an eject button, of course.

Thay can't afford fancy nav computers (think a cruise missile capable of accurately hitting a target a mile across from the adjacent star system, under heavy fire, jumping in and out of sublight, and with probable equipment failures along the way), so they need a human pilot.
The idea is, at first nobody knows how powerful they really are, because one side can't afford to make more than the one they use, and the other's only tested it in deep space where there was nothing to fuel it, and figured it was only about as good as two nukes. So, when they have a firefight with 'em, it ends up with a lot of... collateral damage.
Though, of course, I give the pilot no opportunity to use the eject button in any case.
