yeah, i remember back in the day, myself and Hurricane playing "Unstoppable" on Insane over and over and over... one time i'd cover him and get kills, and he'd get the destroyer, and vice-versa.

i don't think i've ever played it on anything but Insane lol

It's so hard trying to judge a pilot's skills just based off their stats. Knowing that points don't matter is easy enough, but then evaluating their kill count to missions played ratio was hard. I think good pilots who played TvT more often had somewhere between 13-20 kills per mission. Anything above 25 was probably a coop player. Primary and Secondary accuracy helped a bit, with experts hanging around 10-15% (the beauty of ms, you miss so much lol).

Dunno, it's really hard to evaluate because being the host (or mainly ping) in a TvT can make a huge difference. Usually the best I would ever get was around 300, and that's no fun against a team of pilots who have 100-200. Also, it really depends on who you play. I can say from experience that playing in a 4v4 against squads like DW and DA did not result in a lot of kills. Usually in normal TvTs squad members play together, and if  you were unlucky enough to be stuck on the other side with the newbs (back when we still had a lot of newb pilots), it was a great learning experience, but nothing to help your stats lol.

Well pfffft

I flew with guys who were great one on one, but couldn't handle it in a big ol' melee. Didn't have the sense of what was around them, I know guys who could light up a group of fighters, but lose a duel every time. Guys could take out a destroyer in under a minute but couldnt defend anything worth a damn.

Every pilot is different, and you need all kinds. Score just tells you who kills the most stuff more often.

Quite frankly I'd rather have the Lt who can hold off a squad of Herc2s than the Admiral who's done RI 6,000,000 times.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Don't tempt me, I may go on a mission to recover my computer and play again.

Might be worth it to show some newbs how us old chaps fly. Perhaps see some people who remember me......

you're using words way above your head... and it certainly shows by the context you're using them in
