I was just looking through the FS2 concept art and realised how damn good the original concept for the Colossus looks compared to the final thing.

Also, WTF is this supposed to be? Some sort of gas miner? I like it.

The second look like the Terran gas miner. I thing they had several concept arts for the gas miner.

IMO the concept art for the collossus looks like a fighter... In fact, kinda like a Perseus...

Actually, I thought the Colossus looks like a big gun. Actually, a lot of FS ships look like some sort of gun- those Leviathans are definitely pistols, and I swear I've fired the Ravana in Half-life.

The Zephyrus had lots of cool-looking concept designs. I was sad that the end version had no spinny bits.
