Incidentially, I'm now wondering if there's just one everpresent twat named Chip on most every messageboard on the internet, or whether jerky people always choose the same handle...

He was the guy who was threatening to sic his IRS buddies on the guy who was suing. Not clear why, they deleted all his posts, they just reference his PMs and quote him a couple times. But that's about the fourth time I've seen that same guy, or at least a similar guy and the same handle.

whoa, long thread. Read it all now. I'm wanting to see how it all ends up. Really derailed at the end, they start talking about taxes and the NG event thingy.

so what happened in the end? I read the first three or so pages but don't have time to read all of it.

I actually am in a problematic ebay situation at the moment too, but it is not nearly as bad as that. I won some Lego set about three weeks ago and emailed the seller for payment instructions and so on but have not received any reply from him. After a week I sent another email, but still no reply; at this point I'm considering sending a third one. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here since he has the best 1000+ feedback percentage I have seen; hopefully it is something temporary (computer problem, etc.) and the guy isn't just a jerk.

the end of thread just has an admin closing the thread as it lapsed into derailment and flaming. I don't think an official decision on taking it to court or not has been decided by the buyer, jeremy.
