Well, she is a vegetable in some ways... I suspect they were quite content with her semi-boringness.  

and Turnsky, have you seen End of Evangelion? I thought that quite climatic, though I didn't mind the normal TV ending.

escaflowne is great, but not the best for me, far from that ( plus you can't say an anime is THE best, you have more different anime gneres than hollywood movie genres )

well, if TNG is the best ST series, it must be just crappy then?
