With all this "save freespace" stuff thats going around, I think its time that we as a community get of our asses and make a good, presentable, updated, active website, mainly to provide a central hub of activity for mods (hosting mod webistes, bot intended to overlap with HLP)
No offence, but most of the campaign websites make me go "bleh". If anyone with little to no previous knowledge of FS were to stumble onto HLP or FSW, I dont it'de be a very good experience. It kind of too overwhelming
So my idea would be to create a website that would serve as a sort of place where all the expansions/additions to the FS universe could be easily understood, where you could get an overview of the ships, places etc. Like a place from which to spearhead the revival of FS.
It doesnt even have to be a seperate website, it could be a part of HLP.
Another part of this would be to create good looking websites for all the mods. I know theres some good web designers around here, so if you could just contribute your time and make these campaigns some decent looking sites. I'll post something I cooked up later today. I never intended it to be FS related (never inteded it to be anything actually, just messing around in PS) but I'll post it anyway to see what you guys think
So, whats your ideas and stuff on this subject.
