glow points make good weapon effects
i dont know about anyone else, but ive been using aurora, not to add glows to ships, but rather weapon models. its given me much more versitility in what i can do graphicly. currently there are only 2 types of glows (that i know about) that can be rendered, i was wondering if there were plans to add more glow types. also i came up with the idea of having laser guided missiles (graphicly, not behaviorly), by putting laser beams glows on the front of the missile. it would be cool to have freespace vector the beam to whatever ship that missile is locked on to.

I added a single strobe-type glowpoint to the Cyclops and Helios bombs each in my campaign; makes them look pretty neat as they are heading to their targets IMO. However, I could never get the type 1 (the line/laser type) glows to resize correctly so have not tried those out much.

i made a decoy missile that has sumbunitions that have lasers pointing in several different directions, thanks to the glow effect. they float around and all the turrets and fighters go after them thinking they are bombs, this distracts all the turrets long enought to pull a straif or something cool

i seem to forget that that personal message thingie exists, they seem to have piled up sence my sign on here at the hlp forums. anyone wanting me to do stuff for them can wait, the progress of my mods seem to suffer every time i join a mod team. i eighter get bombarded with other peoples models, which are always full of bugs (the bugs in mine are bad enough), or loose all my time to some real life crisis. so i plan on releasing a mod package some time in the next few months.
