Reloading-Rate of Weapon-Energy
Hello,

I have just a quick question about weapon-energy (of fighters)

The ships.tbl has an entry for the "Max.Weapon-Energy". I understand
that this value is in direct connection with the "Energy Consumed:"-Entry
in the weapons.tbl.

So what I not need to know, which entry in ships.tbl is responsible for
the recovery-rate of the weapon-enery (similar to afterburner
recovery-rate).

Is this the "Power Output:"-value, or is this coded and equal to all
ships ?

If I recall correctly, raising the Power Output: should make weapons energy recharge faster.

That's a very good question. I believe that it may be dependant upon how much energy the ship's reactor produces, for how quickly weapons energy replenishes. Have you tried a weapons energy setting of 5, and trying variable reactor output strengths from 1-10?

Not yet, that's why I asked. I planed to rebuild the way of
WC Laserweapon-Energy. But for a good and easy way of calculation
I need Max-Energy, Energy-Usage per shot and Recovery-Rate, and
the last value is my problem.

When this is set to the max-power-output, than I will have a problem,
because I have only 1 Laserweapon in the tbl, but the ships will have
different Energy-Storages.

(edit) Never Mind, I finally did it. Problem solved :)

Power Output is for shield & weapon energy re-charge. The greater the output, the greater the re-charge.

Max weapon energy is max energy stored for weapons. An awfully neglected stat. Excellent for fighters with lot's of guns.

Nope, not really for weapons . I tried that, but saw no difference.
(raised value 20-fold, but no effect).

The recharge-rate (counting from 0% to 100% seems to be
equal all the time, no matter which ship you are using and
what max-power value it has). Maybe that's coded somehow.

it might be a reverse value, (smaller numbers = faster recharge) freespace has alot of those. i do know that this goes through the ets system. power gets cut up 3 ways depending on how your ets settings. it is not yet possible to have seporate recharge rates (which is the whole purpose of the ets gauge).
