I finally put my finger on what's wrong with Thorn's sun.  Give that sucker a corona.  Put a huge glow around it so that you don't go from sun to background in one quick drop.

Good perspective though.

Maybe a sphere gizmo around the sun with a fire effect implemented? It definitely needs a glow though.

I like it, but I think the glow (which I can see) is low enough to make this a very, very cool star. Like, to the point of dying. I really like the composition, though. :)

Not glare-y enough.
WE ARE HARD LIGHT PRODUCTIONS. YOU WILL LOWER YOUR FIREWALLS AND SURRENDER YOUR KEYBOARDS. WE WILL ADD YOUR INTELLECTUAL AND VERNACULAR DISTINCTIVENESS TO OUR OWN. YOUR FORUMS WILL ADAPT TO SERVICE US. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.

I think I see the glow too, now that I look for it.  Trouble is, it's atmospheric (no more than 5% wider than the star itself) which would look great on a planet but which is completely lost on a star.   Make the glow radius somewhere in the neighborhood of 200-300% the size of the star, and see how it looks.
