And FS2 was coded in C++ (sort of - it doesn't really use object orientated stuff much IIRC)

I know that too, but that is closer to anything else than SCP. FS2 is with C++, OK. But MANY other things are programmed with C++ as well. So FSO is overpowered by 1 to MANY in this case.
