I just saw a movie yesterday (video, not theatre) which I thought was really cool, so here I am informing you all about it.
Its called Whale Rider, and its about the traditions and stuff of the Mauri aboriginies (sp?) of New Zealand. I started the film with very low expectations, but by the end I had done a 180. Its really a refreshing break from the typical Hollywood drivel.
I don't know what more I can say. Its a very intersting film, very beautifully filmed and with a great story (well, not so much story, more like experience). Fair warning, there's no car chases, explosions or dramatic jumps out the window, its not that kind of movie.
Well, that about it, I suggest you pick it up - I very much doubt you'll regret it.
