actaully, that's rather nice, you do need somethiing on that large flat plane though.....
just another newbie without any modding, FREDding or real programming experience

i agree the plane does need something.  Got any good ideas??  besides better texturing.

Try cutting a masisve hole in it ala the arcadia (the big flat plane on the arcadia, not the more prominent round hole BTW)

But the thread is called mining station!

Oh, Beowolf - you're gonna have a problem with that station in FS2... judging by the wire wiew, there are a lot non-convex faces.
My suggestion - make a new station from scratch, but keep the basic idea.

TM will take you POV into consideration.  but i think i will keep it for my own perposes.  this is a learning curve for me.  but anyway black wolf was this something like what u had in mind.


before anyone askes what those extra bits are i decided i needed a way to get gas to the gas tanks to i added some input tubes.  The other side has cargo containers just for some removable storage space and the large platform on the front has been revamped to a freighter runway.

I like the station mesh wise, but for some reason I really hate those textures... I hope those are just working ones? ;)

they are most surtinly textures are just working ones.  my texturing skills lack.  just another area i am lacking in.  Got any good ideas that i could use to remody this slight issue??

I am having some trobble testing the station.  it seems to crash fs2 to the desktop when it is in a mission and i was wondering if anyone could see if it does the same to them??

is it all one object? cos a single object cashing in at 2638 polies will be fatal to regular FS, but i'm not entirely sure about HTL. i'll have to check up on that.
