everything must be ok, im having a problem with dx9
this probibly has nothing to do with freespace but i though ony of you programmer could help. my prized laptop that gets over 7000 points in 3dmark 2001 has been fried. forcing me to use that other computer i have. the primary user on this computer was 6 years old and so it has many problems. i would normally format the drive and reinstall windows, but the only existing copy of my mod is on this machine and im without a backup device.

my main problem is that my direct play drivers are corrupted and it wont let me play any multiplayer games that use direct play. i just got a cable modem and its really pissing me off. to make matters worse, dx9 wont re-install. is there any way to cheat and manually re-install and register those particular drivers so that i may give this bad boy a spin? i need to know what they are, where they go, and what to put into the registry to make them work. any help would be cool.

nevermind, i think i fixed it. i replaced a dll file and ran the dll register aplication that i found in one of the dx9 cab files. if dxdiag says it works then everything must be fine.
