Nova means new in spanish and portuguese (that I know of)

And it's no va and not nova that "means" "no go" (it's not exactly that, but something more like "don't go", because in latin based languages the don't is just one word instead of two, if not always at least most of the time)

nova would be a female form. novus is the male (dictionary) form.
