Finally, a reason to live in your monotonous, inconsequential lives...
I'm not much into StarWars, I mean I'm not a huge fan or anything. I think its interesting enough, an opinion which KOTOR has only strenghtened. However, Kyle Katarn is one of the cooler characters in the SW universe, being sort of borderline ligh/dark side. He's a badass, more so than many others. Imagine him scruffy and unshaven, pissed and galavanting around the galaxy kicking some ass. Thats the **** I want to see. I mean, a Jedi's skills lend themselves so perfectly to being a spy/assassin ala Splinter Cell. If you were to mix stealth and hack&slash, you'de have an awesome game on your hands. This would also resolve the problem of the previous games being too action oriented.

The Jedi Council's black ops badass....cool stuff.

Actually, that pretty much describes what Mara Jade did before she met Luke. :D
[I am not really here. This post is entirely a figment of your imagination.]

Ock and Shawe!!

Firstly: Meh. Dressing up an already good game with Star Wars fails to pique my interest anymore.

Secondly: There's already a BF1942 Star Wars mod, anyways. Then again, there's already a Vietnam/Indochina mod for it, and they're still making BF: Vietnam. Oh, well.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

I don't know. I think this game could be pretty good if it's done well and differs enough from the Battlefield games.

the AoE2 one you're all thinking of was Galactic Battlegrounds.  Basically, just like AoE2 with StarWars stuff instead.  At least I think it was better than Force Commander...

Never played BF1942, so I have no opinion of this latest development.  But like anything, there's the potential for greatness and mediocrity all at once.
