I think Frontier Developments have been doing more than just this game (Dog's life springs to mind) to fund development on this.

Elite 4 would completely destroy any space game out there, that I am sure of.

My only concern is David Brabham and his 'mine mine mine' attitude which has carried on since the release of the original Elite. And the fact that Brabham is obsessed with physics models.
I still have nightmares about those 3hour long 10,000 kph 'jousts' from Frontier, usually to have the damn game crash straight afterwards This is why I am against 'real' physics without any consideration given to the fact it's a game.

If they do it properly, it will be up there with Doom 3, if they screw it up, it will kill Elite stone cold dead.

Edit : Oh yes, and if he doesn't bring back the Cobra, Viper, FerdeLance etc, I shall track him down and kick him really hard in the balls.
