What I liked was the sword play in the games.  But games never live up to their cutscenes.  This guy was doing spinning kicks in the movie, is he going to be able to do that in the 3rd one?  I never played the 2nd one, but I don't remember him able to run across walls...

Well, you can bet he probably can now. You find that hability in nearly every games of that genre, now ( shinobi, ninja gaiden, prince of persia, etc, etc ).

Is Jean Reno famous in the States, England, etc? The few foreign films he's made were not exactly state of the art, so I wonder. I know he's very famous in Japan ( hence his apparation in this game, I 'spose ), but that's it.

You could run across walls in JK2: Jedi Outcast. ;)

Jean Reno? Well, he's not really famous in Australia... but he does have a very familiar face. :D

He's reasonably famous in the UK, I think.  Enough so that people would know who he is, albeit probably not so much that he;d get mobbed in the streets.

What was the difference between Leon and the Professional?  They say that Leon was different, but I don't know how.

'The Professional' was the US renaming, I think it may have also have been cut differently, as the IMDB mentions a different, uncut verison when it gives the ratings.

I guess it was renamed because they reckoned Us audiences wouldn't be interested in a film with a foreign name - which speaks volumes about how lowly they regard their audience.

From what I remember reading once, Leon was more grotesque and violent that it wasn't allowed for US audiences.  Then someone told me that there was also a scene between Leon and Natalie portman that didn't get into the Professional b/c of the nautiness of the scene.  I have no idea.  I can't seem to find a rentable "Leon" so I may go and buy it.  I loved the Professional.
