As I mentioned about a month ago, we (Premonition Studios) have completed our first title: The War No One Knew. The game is 2D hardware accelerated using DX9.0. The combat is turnstyle similar to scorched earth or pocket tanks, however TWNOK offers a single player mode complete with cutscenes and 5 missions totaling to about an hour of gameplay (although a small accomplishment i must say).

I downloaded the light (low res cinematics) version from Mirror 1 and upon installing I get the following errors:


"The TWNOK.EXE file is linked to missing export SHELL32.DLL:SHGetFolderPathA."

and

C:\Games\TWNOK\TWNOK.exe
A device attached to the system is not functioning

I uninstalled and installed again, but its the same thing. Sorryy that the first reply has to be about an error:D:D Maybe its just my computer thats acting up.

That was an error in the installer. Just delete it. (we've patched the installer)

We plan to keep the game freeware. We are currently developing a 3D RPG game that will be published.

Aye it is...

And I would like to announce that we have just released the TWNOK 1.1 patch that fixes most of the bugs that existed in the game before... and I apoligize for any installer problems that you might have expierenced... they have all been repaired.

As for the future of the game: we are planning to release to major MODs to the game:

1) AI Mod that improves on the AI module and makes the game more enjoyable on the whole.

2) Network mod to allow play over an internet server (this one will be a little harder but we already know someone with the network code to do it )

And Please... we could really use the help building our community so if you could join the forums and help get things going it would be greatly appreciated.
