Greetings!

Could somebody tell me which ports Freespace 2 uses for online play?

Thanks in advance.

err, i don't have a clue, but you can set what local port to use in the setup screen.

if you want to host through a firewall, grab the FSO mutli builds, it has issues, but it works rather well.

fs2netd (the new pxo) uses outgoing TCP 12000

i don't remember off the top of my head what the incoming TCP port is for hosting a game

Got a question, I am behind a router (built-in NAT) and have several games that are unable to be played online from more than one PC because the server only uses the external IP to differentiate between clients...will this be the same with the new PXO version? Because this was possible with the regular online version, I'd be much dissapointed if this possibility got killed

well, for me, it seems that i can not host under FS:Retail PXO, but can do so under FSO:PXO. I'd say there is only one way to find out.

So I did, and still none the wiser...regular fs:retail I have no problems, could even run a standalone server...the fs2_open version however just dies on me when I log in
