yes because by saying they have been in it for long enough to have won the thing on those occasions is braging about how good they are...I dont know how many years they have been in the league or anything I only know that as far back as 1977 Israel won it and therefore if you had complaints about them being in the league should they not have been expressed a while ago dont you think?

Of course you knew this already, you simply chose twist my words in such a way to play into your hands where you could say somthing derivative and try to be hurtfull... oh no! :shaking:

The only reason we're competing in European leagues is because the Americans are too far away; we need them to actually come over here to compete. :D

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Baseball is quite strange for me,
American football is too cruel and aggressive. Dangerous, I don't rely on my protection suits.
Golf may be a good sport, but I would not comment this. I saw merely a few minutes of golf. I have little knowledge for that sport.

Golf. Hit a small white ball with a metal club, chase after it and hit it again until it goes in the hole.

yeah its just like soccer in that you just have to get a ball into a hole... except you cant use your feet... you have to use the club instead... and you all take turns shooting... and there are no goalies... and you are your own team... ah forget it, its nothing like soccar.

I still don't see the point. saying you're good at basketball is like saying you're good at, err... picking flowers.

hockey on the other hand... btw, sweden beat usa in hockey two days ago. 3-1...

I'll forgive this thread because you're all foreigners (except Turnsky) and wouldn't know real sport if it bit you :P

The Eagles lost the last Derby, and I can't play hockey this season, so I'm kind of pissed off sport wise at the moment, however I did discover Sepak Takraw (though I'm yet to find anyone who plays it around here) - the very coolest sport on the planet.
