Is this already possible?
If it's not, could someone please put the ability to put a little flag in the ships.tbl file for no-ETS controls? (like $noets).

EDIT: And, just to clarify, I mean no guns, shields, OR engine controls.

Ships that have neither shields nor weapon power (ballistics only) will have no ETS system.

Any ship with something to distribute will be able to do it, currently.

BTW I wonder what happened to avgr_1's auto ETS code - that thing did a marvelous job IIRC and combined with a single arc shield did quite a good job giving the ai fighters/bombers a boost.

Not true. My ships have 0 shields, and are loaded with weapons that have no energy consumption, but I still have an ETS.

Well, if your ship has a power output for weapons you WILL have the ETS (afaik).

Whatever it is, TVWP ships do not have an ETS bar

Your ship is still generating the power though even if nothing is using it.
