Well, I want this to be a game that can be played in one's spare time, or one can take it more seriously and put some effort into it, but neither need be required. I mean, obviously, you need to be there to play, but I think it should be entirely possible to spend 20 minutes making rounds, taking care of business around the forums, or 2 hours, if you feel like putting in the extra effort, but it shouldn't matter either way and be a thing entirely of personal preference. I don't know how well that well work or not, but I hope it'll be alright.
I'm not looking to overcomplicate things either. I've never actually 'played' Nodewar, but I've watched a few iterations start and die, and it seems to me like beauracracy and rules generally pissed off a number of more active members, seeing them leave. I don't want that anymore than anyone else, so don't expect anytihng too complicated or stressful. I'm looking to make this as fun as the next person.
As far as storylines go, that's the great part of the idea. It revolves around the FS universe, so we don't need to make up a backlog of history or events, or even setting, we really just need to pick a time-setting, get the basic rules in place, tweak some things, and go at it.
Uhh.. okay. PM me and we'll talk. I don't know about the nation just yet, as groundwork needs to be layed before the building goes up before people populate it.
