edit: Here and first and only two photos from the film. But whats that first photo of? I know the books more or less by heart, and it just doesn't resemble any scene I can think of.

edit2: for that matter, when is a square-tired bike ever mentioned? This must be all the added material, cause I'm completely lost.

I think the square bike was actually in one of the books. I remember something about square wheels and weird bumpy roads (to make it possible to bike with square wheels) on some world.
