The launcher tells me "FS cannot be run from a drive root directory"

I've got everything in default positions. I wonder if this is related to all the probs I've been having.

nope. it's only fred that does it now (any build)

Very odd. Are you running FRED with the -mod switch?

Nope. Sometimes the htl flag but nothing else. Does FRED have a flag file BTW ? That's the other prob; it never reads the flag file and I get a Fatal Error.
