Eating at night isn't a good thing, your stomach isn't really too involved with much of anything so sleeping on a full stomach isn't a good thing.

A nap is different...

I hear you can gain weight by eating and then sleeping too soon as well. Something about how the body distributes energy during different states.

I've heard that midnight snacks can potentially be unhealthy too.

I guess that if you eat right away and sleep, your metabolism slows down.  All that food gets digested slower than normal and supposedly more gets stored away as fat.

Toast. Some times if I'm feeling energetic or have been drinking I'll melt some cheese onto it (savoury food kicks arse when you've been drinking bundy and cola all night).

Plastic cup (to hold the food, not to be eaten), dollop or 2 of peanut butter (creamy or chunky according to personal preference) and a dollop of pure honey mixed together crudely, and a dash of milk to top it off. Glass of milk on the side highly recommended.

Nothing beats mini savoury eggs.

Y'know the ones. They're like scotch eggs but they're like 1/5th the size and the egg is mushed up.

Yep, I know the ones, they're better than the full sized ones because the full-sized ones lie to you

You see this big fat juicy scotch egg, bite into it, what do you get? Some crusty half-dry meat coating for about 4mm and then...the air gap, because the egg is this poor mutilated thing that looks like it was laid by a seriously dysfunctional chicken I mean, I've been on farms, chickens know what shape eggs should be, there must be some kind of secret 'midget chicken' they keep hidden especially for suckers that buy full sized scotch eggs
