Fraser Report & Scottish Parliment
BBC on line

For those who don't know, this is the inquiry into why the new Scottish Parliment building cost £400million instead of 40 (you read that right)

Apparantly no one individual was to blame. That's usually Tony's cue to fully accept all responsability he may have had. (now that he apparantly didn't have any)

Fraser Report & Scottish Parliment
We need a new noun in English: to 'Holyrood' meaning to vastly understimate the cost of something....

Yeah, everyone was to blame.  Especially the arseholes who signed a contract that signed off any responsbility for costs incurred (i.e. through contractor negligence) to the taxpayer.

Assuming all the cash has come from taxpayers, the building has cost each person in Scotland around £80 in tax.
Personally I'd rather see the Parliment held somewhere historic, though I'm not sure such a venue exists.  I don't like the design of the Parliment, its too fragmented, and isn't easy to look at.

Because that's the name of the place it was built in.

No actually we pay more into the coffers than the parliament cost, so technically we paid for it ourselves.
