Emu's actually not bad - expensive as hell unless you catch your own, but not bad.

I have been to a few gaming communities and only have had an issue with one (the HW1 SAAB people, lying pricks).

Anyway please do not bug them but we are on decent terms with:

Klingon Academy
Shatterstar
Bridge Commander
Star Trek Unity (SFC3,BC,Armada combined forums)

As for Spacebattles.com I have been there 2 years and seen almost nothing against FS or HLP. In fact it's very well represented by us there! (including my fanfiction and numerous threads new people start that are FS related). Many people throw Shivans in their debates still.
