I wouldn't start packing yet, such a ruling would smack of Equal Rights breaches, and would be unlikely to get through the 2nd house, or indeed the ECHR. That is why Blair etc want the power to ignore the second house for 'matters of National Security'

You Merkin's are quite ****ed with the electoral college. In Holland, we have about 5 big parties, of which 2 or 3 are big enough to supply a president. Currently, we are getting screwed by the government, but next elections......
