Does anyone know if and where a free midi music creation program is available on the net? My copy of Magix Music maker and midi studio with it took the greasy slope straight into the fiery pit and I don't have anything else.

Dunno. You can probably find a trial version of something somewhere. Try download.com and tucows.com - they'd probably have it if anyone would.

Bleh. Not that helpful. Sorry. :blah:

Winjammer 3.00 shareware.

The only bad thing about the unregged version is that it replaces all the Track List names with "Winjammer Demo", but other than that, it is 100% operational and you can save your material just fine.

Try googling for it and if you still have troubles finding it, I might be able to hook you up with it since it's shareware.

Go "obtain" a version of Finale 2003. That softwarer works great! Its common to downl...ooops....buy on the net. =hint, hint=

I think you can use the Modplug Tracker to make midi files, as well as MOD files (obviously).

If you have some sort of virtual keyboard program and the right kind of sound card you might be able to just pop open Sound Recorder and record it in that.

There's also a program for Linux, called Muse, that is supposedly a great music generation program (it looked pretty good when I installed it, but I couldn't get it working with my odd sound setup.)
