I can't find the words to express how I feel about this, so I won't try.
Dimebag was possibly the guitarist of the 1990s, at a time when heavy metal was hugely unfashionable. The influence of Pantera cannot be underestimated when looking at the contemporary metal scene today. He will be hugely missed, and his loss is a terrible blow to alternative music.
My thoughts are with his family, his bandmates and especially Vinnie Paul. I can't even begin to imagine how he must feel, having seen his brother murdered in front of him.
EDIT: I wish the guy hadn't been shot by the cop - he'll never have to face up to the misery he's caused now...
