Dial-up and Multiplayer
Let me start off by saying this is not another "How/where do I play Multiplayer FS2" thread. I only have dial-up internet and was wondering how well online performance in FS2 is with a dial-up connection. I know most games have extreme lag with dial-up but there are some games, like MW4, that if get on a decent server there is little or no lag. So if anyone has experience with playing FS2 online with dial-up could they possibly share info about lag and whatnot. Thanks in advance.

that's because that is the ONLY thing that M$ did right with mech4.  If i correctly remember what i read when i was downloading the demo for Mech4 they used some sort of algorithm to attempt to defeat lag.  That was impressive to me, as i was a huge mech (online) player.  On the other hand...lag shooting in mech 3 was a blast.  once you had someone's lag...they were toast.  I am pretty sure that fs2 hasn't got that.

Pretty playable but I doubt you'd hit anything with primaries. I used to have dial up and when I play with my pals I'd pick heavy fighters with lots of missles all the time.
