My local college runs MAX courses on a "on demand" basis. So I don't know if I have a place or even if/when the course runs. Also, I've contacted the tutor on several occasions and she's never once replied.
For similar money I could get XSi Foundation ($500) and hope the softimage tuts and manuals are enough. But no-one does XSi courses (that I'm aware of)
College Pros:
Qualifications
College Life
Indepth study (aka learnin' to do this s*** properly)
Cons:
Waiting on the whim of some college manager dude wether or not the course runs.
Xsi Pros:
Cheaper than Max. Max costs a frickin' fortune.
I could buy it anytime now
5 DVDs of training stuff
Cons:
No qualifications
Learning a whole new interface (again)
I don't know how good the softimage training stuff is.
