In the Raider campaign, in missin HELL AND BACK, when you get that mid-mission briefing, you know, with the INCOMING TRANSMISSION flashing in red letters, I hit continue, and it bumps me back to the desktop.

Also, I am unable to get the multiplayer to work, thought I followed all the steps I'm suppose to. And it also mentions something about 'hacked tables' which I haven't a clue as to what this is about.

Download this and use it in place of your current fs2_open_r.exe and it should work fine.

USe that build only to get past HaB.
As for multiplayer, it's because Kazan has not yet validated TBP on his PXO replacement.

Downloaded the debug. This what I get when I try to execute it:

This application has failed to start because DevIL.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.

I will re-download and try again.

EDIT: 2nd attempt it said the same thing.

Ok... I put in in the folder and it worked. It opened like it is supposed to. Because that one misson bumped me to desktop I have to restart campaign again (oh well).

Ran with the debug, dont know if I should use it starting the HELL AND BACK or after the first half is complete...but using it to run the mission, it froze my cpu. Will try a different way to see.

I got past the nightmare mission with WMCoolmon's 'latest cumculative build . Yes, it was definately one of the most haunting FS2 missions I've ever played - just something about a ring of raider ships tearing through everything. Ouch. And it started so ... normally.
Long time ago, you see, there was this thing called the VBB and... oh, nevermind.

I've had the same problem as EAD_Agamemnon. I'm gonna be well gutted if i have to start the campaign again. Time to backup the pilot me thinks ;)
DnB HEAD, Who gwan test?

The first time that I played through the Raider Wars campaign I had exactly that problem and I followed the suggestion to use the debug build which worked.

I played through the campaign a second time (I physically removed the debug .exe and used the base one) and instead exited TBP after finishing 'To Hell and Back' and ran the dxdiag utility.  When it finished I ran up TBP again and continued the campaign and the 'Nightmare' mission worked perfectly - no abend during the "incoming transmission" point.
