It does indeed, except for the upper engine and the wing. Not that this similarity would be bad thing though.

For BSG, it looks like it might have been a semi-stealth recon fighter from the MK.II era... though it could use some more sleeking and smoothing, particularly around the nose and engines.

As Star Wars, it would be a fighter speeder, with no back seat and heavier weaponry. This is something you'd want to use for direct engagements against AT-ATs, no more wimpy tripwires.
