Dont get me wrong I like the bagpipes, but the softer sound of the uileann pipes is much more listenable.

And theres no real difference between Irish and Scottish bagpipes, the uileann is a different instrument.

Btw heard rogues of scotland?

hehehehe The Royal Family are more than half German.

I, fortunately, came from France about 8 generations ago, and curiously enough, there is actually a Glacier with my family name in Antartica, which was discovered by an American ship, so we got over there at some point too ;)

I'm actually related to the royal family :nervous:  Mothers side used to own hillsborough castle in down long long time ago.

Aye they do, and the same drone would be found on the Irish equivelents of the Highland pipes. I was really saying in comparison to some of the other pipes out there, like the Breton or German ones.

And its a good tune, kazaa it or something.

Lamonts are related to the McGregors, that's why..... I'm either a McGregor or a Lamont, we've never been able to narrow it down.

NB: Scottish bagpipes are a weapon of war, of course they'll sound harsh.
