Help on mission Nemsis
Well, lets just say, even on "ultra easy", I can't finish this mission (Either I lose a capital ship, or I'm almost finished, BOOM I die from some beam unluckly...)

*nostalgic :sigh:* ahh i remember this mission well */nostalgic :sigh:* Trust me, your not the only one who spent decades on that mission. That Nemesis is no pushover.

I usually take a Perseus Adv. with a Hastor amd Arrows. I know hastor has a low sheild damage level, but trust me, with four of them, enemy fighters will fear you :drevil:. And the insane hull damage means that enemy crusiers will aswell! :thepimp:

The trick to the Nemesis is simple, be suicidal. Get close enough to kiss that hull plating, then move along it and take each beam down one by one. You'll still come under attack, but the number of turrets that can get a bead on you is very small. You'll still come under stinger attack, so pray you have ebough countermeasures to fight them off.

PS: When doing the above, please learn from my stupidity. Don't fly over charging beam turrets...please :(

IIRC, I found that giving wingmen orders to guard certain ships helped a lot.

Yes, auspicious use of wingmen is essential to winning the mission - and keeping them alive so they can join you in attacking the Nemesis near the end means more targets for those evil Stingers to fire at.

What I do is order my wingmen to guard certian ships, then I go full burners towards the Lindos. I take out the Lindos beams, but not before sending alpha 2 in first to act as a decoy. While A2 is busy getting fried by the Lindos defense systems, I stay a fair distance away and snipe the forward beams. When all the beams are down, I fly back to the fleet and defend the smaller ships on the port side of the Hecate-looking thing. During phase 2 of the mission, I make like T-Man and get really close to the Nemesis. I stop at one beam, take it out, and move on to the next. This way, no more than one or two turrets can fire on me at once. For extra protection, I call all remaining fighters to form on my wing as I complete my task. If I run out of missles, I divert full energy to guns and slowly take out the beams of the Nemesis.
"Your efforts to interdict me have failed, papacy. Pentagon, engage propaganda drive."
"Now, Protestant scum, you will see the power of this fully armed and operational Papal Station!"

-__- Don't talk to me...

Why, WHY do the stoopid beam turrets have to be, like, 200 metres across??? >_<
