1/ online? Eh? I never said online - I couldn't give a monkeys about online multiplayer, especially PES
2/Depends on the Pc. and then there's the game startup time.
3/And some are, in fact, pish. Point is, there's not an accepted default controller setup; if you have 2, you'll likely need to tweak the button assignments. Consoles have an instant advantage in a default common setup, and games built to take advantage of it.
4/Why bother if a console is easier to link to a TV and portable so you don't have to worry about where to put it?
5/Except a lot of Pc games are released in a buggy state simply because they know they can patch it.... and console conversions often aren't ideally suited to Pcs anyways; they're not as easy to optimize to a varied architecture and specification as for a single console spec.
My point is, it's a hell of a lot more convenient to move a PS2 into a living room - or another house - fire up a game, and play 2-player than it is to do the same with a PC. Doesn't mean a Pc is worse, it's just not as good or - crucially - convenient at split/same-screen 2 player games. Particularly as some games may be coded with an fov that assumes the players' distance from the screen.
So.... even if I play a lot of single player PC games, it's always the PS2 that gets dragged out & about for social gaming.
