I got a slight problem ...
Right, first time reporting a bug so i dunno what you want from me, but i'll give it a go.

First off Nebula's dont like me, was playing Transcend earlier, and as soon as i got into the nebula my fps drop from a stead 75 all game to to around 12 and kept jumping from there to about 20 and back again the whole time.
But to make it a lil wierder when i got to the next mission, still in a nebula but this one using purple poofs instead of red ones in the first one, it was steady at 75 again.

Odd? I think so

Also when every i look at a sun or light source in the neb my whole screen turns into a white boxy mess, will get you photos when get on my pc, also random will effects get subsituted for the white boxes at one point, then the next time it is used it is fine.

Assuming you will need my specs and set up, but that will have to wait till on my pc, just doing this on my mac while i remember. Using Goobs latest build and the 3.6.6. media vp

Otherwise excelent work so far

Are you using D3D or OGL?  You're supposed to use OGL for Transcend.

I got a slight problem ...
Same in both, just playing through syncat the moment, at its the same with the nebs in there, will check in the main camp as well.

Running a Radeon 9500 at 1024x768x32

[EDIT] Tried it again in OGL the fps doesnt sink so low, but still get the dodgy white boxes, not from the sun any more, but now its on the engies (which it wasnt before)

... take a looksie

And the wierd thing is the glows on the Levi changes from normal, to white box depending which angle you look at it from.

Are you using the -jpgtga option?  If not then that could explain why you still get white squares in OGL mode.

D3D does have a known problem with the white boxes right now but I don't know if anyone has actually looked at fixing it yet.  Also, the big drop in FPS in a full nebula mission is known and a D3D only problem.  The cause of the slowdown has yet to be found.

I got a slight problem ...
i think the d3d white-box-on-warp problem is due to the spec_* colors not being set somewhere.  i know OGL forces them to 0 for unlit polygons.

I got a slight problem ...
in OGL -spec -glow -pcx32 -jpgtga -rlm -ship_choice_3d -targetinfo -orbradar -3dwarp -env -alpha_env -fps  -ambient_factor 60 -allslev -mod sync

still got annoying boxes, appear on cap ship engines but not on fighters, seem also on most other sprites, such as glowpoints and the warp out flash and some explosions.
