Ok was browsing the news today and i came upon this...

Warhammer 40,000 News 9:11 AM (your time) - James "Prophet" Fudge - Games: General -  
The cats at GamePress report that THQ is looking for development studios to take on the task of developing games based on their recently acquired Warhammer 40,000 license. THQ is looking for developers capable of creating games across multiple platforms including the PC, PS2, Xbox, GameCube, Game Boy Advance, and several wireless platforms (PDA & Cellular). An intricate knowledge of Games Workshop's  futuristic world will probably help you get your foot in the door.

  I thought that after THQ acquired the Warhammer20K license they'd put Volition on the project but it seems now that they have other plans for V maybe a wrestling game? lol Anyways, just wanna get your opinions, and don't say FS3! Cuz we all know that would only be in our dreams.

I think they're too busy with Red Faction 2 and Summoner 2  

NO. I forgot the RF Expansion Pack they're working on for the PS2.

either way I hope it's better than the RPG crap that's been pumping out...They need to stop trying to mimic the tabletop game and maybe make an FPS...that would rock

Or else make a really good version, maybe based off of Close Combat or something.  Where you're not stuck fighting the same baddies day in day day out.

Hey Chaos Gate was a good game, alright it had its flaws but a good game, hell even PC Zone gave it a good review. anyway they could always do a space combat using the Battlefleet gothic ships cos its really just an extension to the 40K universe.

They could make some new figthers up. i just want to be able to play as a Chaos in there next game whatever it is.

CHAOS is the best army out of the game.

Blood Angels rock you all...  nothing can touch their assault troopers...

(NB - I havent touched a White Dwarf or a GW minature for 3 years now, so don't rant if the Blood Angels aint no longer Assault Kings)

Work was started on a GW FPS...  
It was going to use the Mortyr engine and featured 2 sides (Chaos (predominatly the World Eaters) & the Ultramarines), each with 3 different classes (ala. Tribes - Scouts, Standard Marines & Terminators)...

It was canned when IMagic sold off all their entertainment division and the Mortyr engine was deemed a total pile of ****ing ****  with nice glass efects  

still, if Volition are drafted, the Red Faction engine would be a great base to work from...
we've got the vehicles (the APC is the perfect Rhino...  duhh), we've got the destructable enviroments and we've got Jason Scott writing  

what could go wrong  

(lol...  funny how '****ing' isn't filtered here, but 'Sh1t' is  )

Na Chaos is the best, they have the best assault troops in the game Khorne Berzerkers,  demons and the best Terminators.

I like the Dark angels aswell with there Deathwing but i turned to Chaos.

I suppose there must be at least some drawings of ships, apart from the miniature pics (check for the space marine fleet, this is the most representative one)
