Problems with Red Alert Carry Status
I'm using the version of Fred that came with The Babylon Project mod (v3.0 + patch), to design a campaign for the mod and I've had problems getting the red alert carry option to work.

I want to be able to carry over the player ship, as well as a friendly vessel and a couple of hostiles over. I've tried using the red-alert status-option but it hasn't worked for any of the ships, and I've been testing it using the campaign not single mission options.

On the previous mission I have an event that forces a player to jump, I know that end-mission doesn't activate red alert status, but theres no mention of force jump doing the same. Also I have tried allow the player ship to warp, damaging it and then jumping to the next mission but this hasn't fixed it. I do add a couple of ships to the wing the hostile ships being carried over is in on the next mission, and the red alert mission is one of the possible missions that can be done based upon how events in the preceeding mission pan out.

I could use variables as an alternate option but it would be a much more complicated approach. Any suggestions about what could be the problem?

How are you triggering the red-alert exactly?

Check the FRED section of my FAQ to see how I do it (Basically let the ship start to jump out and then trigger the red alert as the ship is jumping out).

I hadn't triggered it, I had set the following mission as red alert and the ships to be carried over as red alert status.

I've looked at your faq's and will be see if I can make it work. If not I'll have to use variables (I may have to anyway with the way I want the campaign to go). I know how to set a ship's status using variables at the start of a mission, but can you use the same proceedure to set a ships secondary weapon ammo? I know you can get the values as a percentage, but their doesn't appear to be a setting version.

At the moment you can't as far as I know. I've already put in a request for the SCP to add SEXPs so you can but nothing's happened so far.
