OT: Modding other games
I was wondering if any of the following games can be modded to a similar level to FS2;

-Mechwarrior2:Mercenaries (oldie, but I just reinstalled it with a Direct3d patch)
-Fifa2001 (I know some of it possible but I want to make new stadiums dammit!)

Just thought i'd throw this to the esteemed community.

You want to mod a soccer game? hew... hell, why not after all...
Mechwarrior2. sob... "memories memories"
I still have it, but I have the version that comes with my old 3dfx (first version). It won't work anymore with my radeon
Why not trying to mod more recent games?

Why not trying to mod more recent games?

Because I have an old Pc, and games like IW2 are too complicated for it...

incidentally, FIFA can be pretty easily modded - the community on the website I visit is actually massive - even larger than HLP or VWatch. http://www.fifa2001.com/

But it's mainly constrained to editing the ingame texture graphics - new strips, boots, etc, and I want to make a new 3d model for a stadium - which has apparently been done before, although I don't know how.

And I just got a Direct3d patch for MW2... it looks much better (although still pretty primitive by modern standards), so I figured why not have a wee try at it for the hell of it.
[edit]
there's a bunch of utilities in the MW2 Cd, but they sound horrible... command line based   .

Plus, why the hell can the MP run in 1024x780 and the main game only 600x400.

(Sorry can't resists   )
