I tried all day to get the damn Gamilon Destroyer turreted. I was so cocky after making a succesful single part turret for the Trek Doomsday machine (somehow)...  

Problem is the model is all one object, I found some way to make it sub no-names but even then glueing lights failed and worse I still need all 4 of these to ROTATE. However they are NOT arms they are simply turret bases with holes textured on (ARMORED GUN TURRETS). That's they way they are in teh anime, armless... So I tried to make single part turrets that rotate. (you only need one firing point in the middle as I already have the right weapon it will fire (a Orange tri-beam)...

Would anyone be willing to fix this and make the only 4 turrets on this model work? I would greatly appreciate it...

you have to change the texture to .bmp to work in TrueSpace. For some reason it refused to upload (document contains no data) wierd... oh well...

There be PIRATES HERE!!!

Shadowolf already claimed the Kulas and Pirate Base but as I have been waiting a long time for permission for some other models that finally came through I want to also ask Aldo for permission to use just the Kulas Pirate fighter (I intend on using it as a bomber for Harlock, if allowed).

Here they are SPACE PIRATES! Note the Arcadia shown is NOT NICO's model but DTM's (in fact all three are his)...

The Arcadia and Pirate Wing Carrier (Both work only in FRED for now).



I prefer this Arcadia better cause the textures are less "cartoony" in fact I am waiting for Atra-Hasis to finish his new higher poly version, but until that day comes this is what I am going with!

All my stuff is free-to-use by anyone, so you don't even have to ask.  That includes the Baranec as well;  I wouldn't allow anyone to claim exclusivity on anything I've publicly released.

I'm bumping my own thread....

I recently got a hold of several meshes (some new) and tried to texture them myself. had some wierd problems with what is showing up. I use paint over existing material but instead of the pattern showing up on the section only a pixel of the color of the map is shown all over that area. IE, instead of blue diamond plate hull I get pure blue... WTH am I doing wrong?

I used trueview to choose entire sections of the ship and used paint over eixisting material to make things easier on me. This is what I got:




This is NOT the Borodino, but the ARIZONA class. They just look similar but have more armaments (when completed those angled turrets will be fixed single parts NOT rotating)...

It's been some time so if any new people here like old anime of space battleships like StarBlazers or Harlock, (or even the newer ones like Nadesico and Tylor) and if you got any skills then please let me know!!!

I desperately need a modling GURU to work on Yamato. It has a multitude of problems but the end result will be worth it. (the 6k version I have the file Earlier in this thread for download with proper textures).

If anyone wants a go at simple texturing (for placeholders as I will go back and find correct looking ones) let me know and I will send you the meshes.

Also I need a light modler to be able to seperate the turrets fromt eh ships (right now some of these models are one) and I need them to be turned into funtional rotating turrets. I will send the meshes that need this also.

For those keeping count the new meshes are:

Lexington class (carrier I really dont like and probably wont use unless the rear gets remodled, it's too plain IMHO even if it is cannon)

The Lightning class (Derrick Wildstar's brothers ship, the Paladin was this class!)

and the Arizona (heavy battleship)

The rest in the KA pack I got  I already had in more complete stages  (see earlier posts for what is already in mod).
