Prequel or so to Mai-Hime, this won't mean sh1t to you if you aren't into anime though.

Just posting that it aired. It was a great first episode. I'm pretty sure anyone who was a fan of Hime will be able to dig this.

Oh and, w00t.

speaking of anime, i'm heard rumors that "Hellsing" is coming back, does anyone know bout it?

I'm quaking in fear at the "training school for sex slave battle girls" premise, but I'll try watching it anyway because Mai HiME was great.

It's my understanding that Z Hime isn't a prequel but an alternate universe.  Anyhow, just watching it now.

Still waiting for a sub of Otome. For Hellsing, an OAV is in the work, and this time, it will follow the manga (in other words, there be evil nazi vampire).

There's a sub for Z Hime at Anisuki, from Doremi.  Apparently Static's coming out with one tomorrow, if you want karaoke and stuff as well.

I prefer waiting for the Static version. A group with only one release before, and who manage to do a sub in one day doesn't exactly fill me with confidence concerning the quality of the subs....

as do I. well, I'll give it a shot. mai-hime was really good, even though I didn't really give it a shot until after it finished airing. just as well, perhaps. otherwise I would've gone around waiting for another ep of another anime...

well, yes. due to be out in december, it seems. OVA based more on the manga than the series was. which promises well. undead nazis? HELL YEAH!

there was a preview out a while ago, and it looks really astonishing.

I actually think it's a sequel.

300 years AFTER.

Girls'll look the same in any timeline, because that's been explained in Hime already. The two main characters have been introduced as well in Hime, one of them actually under the words of "Kagatsuchi's user" from the main baddie.

After giving us the concept of a "recurring event", I doubt anyone would make it an Alternate Universe. It'd just be too stupid to do.

I just finished watching the first episode. Looks like it'll be awesome if the first episode is any indication.

It's definitely a sequel as Nina Wong mentions "old Earth technology" at one point. Oh, and it's nice that Yukana is doing Mashiro's voice again. She sounds a lot more like Tessa from Full Metal Panic this time around.

I'm really hoping l33t raws starts torrenting this series as their raws have very nice video quality. Plus I wish more subbers used mkv or ogm so I can turn the damn subs off.

So?  There's at least four other raws out there, I was in the middle of getting one when the Doremi sub appeared.

Well, I've found l33t raw releases to have very good image quality. And they just released Mai Otome so I can't complain anymore. :D

Ah the d/l of the Ep1 should be ready by now I think. Must watch it ASAP when I get back home since Mai Hime was indeed great entertainment.

OR I'll encode it to the SmartMovie format using Remote Desktop, send it to the work via irc and watch it from my N-Gage... dunno... decicions decicions :p
Habeeb it...
