Hi. First of all, if any of the developers are reading this, congratulations on such a great piece of software! The improvements over the original FS2 are seriously impressive, and I'm having great fun playing through the game for the first time.
I'm sorry if this is a known issue, but I had a quick look through the forums and on Mantis, and I didn't see anything. I'm using the 3.6.7 SCP release and I'm playing through the original FS2 campaign.
On two occasions, I've been stuck on a mission, and I've wanted to quit the game and take another shot at it later. Problem is, when I load it up again, I'm on the next mission already.
This seems to happen if you quit from the mission, or from the ready room (and choose "Quit, but retry mission later"). I'm fairly sure it only happens if you survive the mission at least once, and get the chance to go onto the next mission. Also, both times I'd been offered the chance to skip the mission after failing it 5 times. Don't know if that's a factor.
Last time it happened, was on "Bearbaiting". Attempted the mission about 15 times, quit from the mission, and from the game - reloaded, and was on the next mission, "High noon". The mission isn't listed in the tech room either.
Also, does anyone know a way I can go back to "Bearbaiting" in the campaign? It seems the result of that mission influences "High noon" and the game is acting like I didn't complete any of the objectives. Would really like to take another shot at it. Any way I can hack the pilot file or something to go back a mission?
