The last two Keepers continued their traditions as best they could, but soon found themselves on opposite sides of a brewing conflict.  About around today, they went to war, and one needed to unite the might of the entire Keeperage against the other.  Enter Arthur Tepel, who created the Combined Defense Force, or CDF, and used its power to fight off the other Keeper.  After this, nearly 12,000 years of relative peace fell on the galaxy.  In that time, the Keeper that helped create the CDF turned their seal over to the CDF, and disappeared.  After 12,000 years, the CDF dismantled itself, dividing into three main groups, the Guard, Armegahd, and Inter-Dem, and spawning a fourth, the Order of the Phoenix.  Just before the complete break up, they hid their twelve most fearsome warships throughout the galaxy, and turned the seal over to the Humans.
