God help us all, DG's starting an art thread. We're doomed. Anyway the following assorted rubbish was collected at a recent airshow. First the vids, cos they're easy. Nothing high quality, they're shot on the digicam, but they're not too big and might appeal to fans of flying machines like me

Warbirds (1mb)

Hawker Hunter (1.2mb)

Battle of Britain (1mb)

And the one you've all been waiting for:

Tornado F3 high-speed pass (6mb) - shame the camera didn't catch more of the sound, there's nothing like twin burners going off right in your face


Anyway, now for some wallpapers what I done made. They're nothing spectacular, I've chosen them because they're simple shots of nice fluffy clouds with added aeroplane - click for bigger:






No planes in this one, just some pretty sky:





OK, now I've got something I need some help with. I've got some perfect wallpaper material, but unfortunately there's this big ugly pink lens flare and I was wondering if you art boffins might be able to do something about it short of cropping the picture:




Any ideas?

Great stuff, though. Ah...airshows. I really need to get to one of them. Too bad there's none near me...no air bases or anything. Damn.

I got blasted by an F3 at the IAT a few years back. And a B1B. And an Su37. Now that was loud! Great stuff. Where was this?

Wings And Strings at Castle Donnington race track. 'Twas the Rolls Royce centenary knees-up. The idea was the Birmingham Symphony played on a stage while **** flew overhead, but of course you couldn't hear owt except when a stunt glider flew to the tune of the Blue Danube

The only downside was that the show wasn't at an actual strip, so the planes were comming in from East Midlands airport two miles off to the east. It's not the same if you can't have your ears melted when they take off
